Duck Sauce

Went to mass this morning only to realise the nape of my neck was marred with ugly hair dye stains, realising I no longer have long hair to cover them or any back acne sort of made me miss it just a bit. BUT I am still very happy with my hair hehehe. Still contemplating if I should start growing my hair for Prom in 2013 or leave it short, a little farfetched and a little premature but I always plan early for lots of stuff.

Really pleased with how my Sunday went, lunch with my parents as usual, and bumped into Max whilst studying at Bras Basah NLB. Was really nice chatting, filling in and getting filled in on what's been happening in each other's life. In a school where I can't seem to find people on the same wavelength as me, good friends like her are definitely keepers.

Met up with Jared to finally try Timbre's pizzas and to chat over drinks, a real swell time as well :)
I can sleep easy tonight knowing my weekend was spectac.

MASSIVE food porn up ahead. Not even kidding ahahah. Well, the idea is to make you drool, so here goes.

I..don't really know what Mum is intending to do with the pau

Dim sum at Raffles Town Club's Chinese Restaurant. To me, they serve the best damn dim sum in Singapore. Everything's really fresh and superb. Never had such crystalline and succulent prawns at any other joints, a real treat for the tummy. I love how fine the pei dan zhok is, and they use those deep fried crispy as hell you tiao to garnish on top. Chee cheong fun is divine with generous lashings of sauce.
As you can see from the multiple pictures of the char siew pau, it really has to be something. And boy, those little darlings were so flavourful and perfect. Pillowy buns I could bury my face in.

Timbre @ The Substation branch

Forced to order a strawberry daiquiri by Jared

Our roasted duck and garlic shrimp pizza that swamped us with it's size

Forced to buy pizza by Jared because of some bet we had that I should never have made

We weren't impressed by the grilled portobello mushrooms. Too much breadcrumbs that were soggy and bland; overkill. Lacked in flavour, sadly.
Pizza was not too bad, I'd say, I'd only come back to try the Goodfellas one, sounds like a cz char dish pimped and added to pizza crust hahaha.
Heard lotsa rave reviews about their cheese fries but they weren't on the menu. But nevertheless, company made up for the food.

Not the most flattering photos of me but oh well

I've got school in a few hours and I've lost my zest for it, just hoping to survive, just survive.
Finally get to see Glene on Tuesday though, so something to look forward to :)
Goodbye weekend.
