Fresh head of hair

Yet another day of overindulging. I try to find comfort in the fact that most diet plans recommend taking 1-2 rest days where you pretty much spare yourself the manic discipline it takes to stay away from carbs and spending most of the day trying to stave off hunger. I don't know how to diet when I love food so much, haha. Maybe this is why the pounds aren't falling off..

Decided to start my day with a bowl of maple pecan granola and greek yogurt, it's so tart compared to the sugar-y, fruity and commercialised ones I'm used to, or froyo, but it tasted healthy lol. Threw in some chopped apples and dried cranberries just to make it more interesting, really really good.

Two hours later I was happily digging in to my Yum Yum Mushroom crepes at Out of The Pan, they were really flavourful because of the gruyere and ricotta. Can't go wrong with cheese. You get to choose the type of crepe you want with your desired filling, and to make myself feel a little less guilty I went with the whole wheat out of the 3 choices; whole wheat, sundried tomato and plain. However, I don't recommend the whole wheat crepe, the sundried tomato one is really a whole lot better, it came with the most perfect tan a crepe can have.

Because it's really not my kind of saturday without shopping, traipsed about Raffles City with Mum and Aunty Ulan and got a few things, I'd say I'm quite a happy girl today. Mum texted while I was at Topshop to say she was upstairs buying an iPad, it's nice to see her so excited to finally have one to call her own.
Stopped by at Cedele for tea and one thing led to another and we ended up with a stack of caramelised banana pancakes, a fruit pavlova and various drinks. The Pavlova was really fresh and nice, I'm not usually a fan of meringue but gotta love how fruit, vanilla cream and meringue go together. I'm going to attempt making one sometime this week before my whipping cream goes bad. Pancakes were rather disappointing because they were a little undercooked, but I really love how they do their banana pancakes. Each pancake has 1 1/2 banana slices that are caramelised til crisp, slather on the orange butter and with a drizzle(okay much more) of maple syrup you're transported to your happy place. Droooooool.

Left for Far East Plaza after to continue where we left off, still the best place for me to shop imho. Quite a good selection and rather wallet-friendly. Paid homage to the regular shops I go to and settled down at Wong Solo for (crikey) my 4th meal of the day, sigh. Resisted ordering the Ayam Penyet so I went for the Gado Gado instead, I mean, it's salad right? Anyway, I love peanut sauce so I happily walloped it up. Shared a side of cheese chicken balls in BBQ marinade, and they are absolutely divine. I swear, I could eat those balls my entire life, the orange cheesy core, the sticky sweet exterior.. To die for. DIE DIE MUST TRY!

Now I'm really really hungry, and I'm listening to Benjamin Francis Leftwich while contemplating going downstairs to raid my fridge. But no, I shall not. Just an hour ago, I dyed my hair jet black just because I felt like it, and because I really, really dig black hair. Explains the post title. I really should change it to hello fats from all I've eaten today but heck la I'm really lazy to and too saturated to type anymore so I'll let the pictures do the talking

Playing with my Lumix in my new dress. I hate how the colour turns out on the cam except for this Film Grain colour effect. Sunday in a few.
